Rantau Abang

The principle turtle beach and the prime area for sporting the great leatherback turtles during the egg laying season which is from May to August, with August being the peak period.  Full moon and high tide nights are said to be the best. The beach is now divided into three sections during the season – prohibited, semi-public (where you have to buy tickets) and free access.

Location:  138 km N of Kuantan or 80 km S of Kuala Terengganu.

 

 

Sungai Pandan Waterfalls
The Sungei Pandan Waterfalls, consisting of a series of cascading rapids the falls culminate in a large cooling pool which is ideal for swimming. A popular holiday and picnic spot for locals and visitors alike.

Location: 25 km from Kuantan. 

 

Sungai Kenau
This waterfall is located in the town of Sungai Lembing - A tourist attraction for nature's lovers with fresh air and crystal clear and clean water. 

Location: 48 km north of Kuantan.

Gua Charah
In the Malay language the word 'Gua' means cave. Formed millions of years ago and carved out by the forces of nature these caves offer an interesting sojourn. Housed inside one of the caves is a statue of the reclining Buddha.

Location: About 25 km northwest of Kuantan at Panching on the Sungei Lembing road.

 

Chamang Waterfalls
Situated at a quiet leisurely town with spring cool water , visitors will be enthralled by a lovely waterfall, so called the 'Lover's Falls'. Picnickers will definitely find Chamang Waterfalls a good spot to bring families during weekends or public holidays

Location: Bentong Town, inside Chamang Village and can be reached by travelling along the town's Jalan Loke Yew.

Bentong Hot Springs

Apart from Chamang Waterfalls, other recreational area in Bentong include the "Air Panas" or Hot Spring, The hot spring was a formation of some volcanic activities back million of years ago and the mineral in the water is said to be excellent for health. Moreover, the greenery and mountainous view surrounding the hot spring is a good-natured sight not to be missed.

Location: About 20 minute's drive from Bentong Town, via the Old Bentong-Kuala Lumpur Road.

Lentang Forest Recretional Park
Lentang Forest Recreational Park provides visitors with camping sites especially for holiday makers. For a short weekend holiday, this is an ideal weekend destination. The forest park has an arboretum which allows your holiday to be both relaxing and educational as the family can discover the trees and plants being cultivated here for both scientific and medical research.

Location:  Along Km 48 Kuala Lumpur - Karak Highway, is only a 35-minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur.

 

Gunung Tapis Park

Although still in the early stages of development the park offers excellent camping spots, where one can shoot the rapids on one of the several rivers, or fish for the delectable “Ikan Kelah”, a Malaysian sub species of the great Indian Masheer (tortambroides duronesis). It also has hot springs and profuse wildlife.
